Cloud-Related Terms

CloudThe cloud that you add or update in the CCM UI Clouds page.
Cloud accountThe details associated with the cloud provider's account in the CloudCenter platform.
Cloud familyThe cloud provider as identified in Public Clouds or Datacenters and Private Clouds.
Cloud regionThe region identified in the CCM UI's cloud group.

Cloud agnostic

Property of an application profile that indicates if it can be deployed on any supported datacenter, private cloud, or public cloud environment without modifying or refactoring code.  


An application-defined management platform that securely provisions infrastructure resources and deploys application components and data across more than 15 datacenter, private, and public cloud environments.

Cross-Cloud MigrationMigrate a deployed application from one cloud to another using a downtime-based migration process.

Cloud-Independent (modify)

Reference to the CliQr's flexibility with not hard wiring the application profile to any cloud infrastructure.

Cloud-specific read-only Artifact Repository.
Datacenter and Private Clouds

Includes virtualized and orchestrated environments. CloudCenter supports physical resource management like Cisco UCS Director (UCSD), compute virtualization management like VMware vCenter, and datacenter orchestrators like VMware vRealize Automation. See Public Clouds for a complete list. the word rule (not policy) when it applies to governance. I use the word policy only for deployment policies (auto-scaling, etc.)
